I am a sucker for physics games. I used to bum around Tea Games for my fix and sometimes Kongregate, but I have found a great new flash game that puts many to shame: Fantastic Contraption. Be prepared to waste plenty of time, this game is totally addicting!

Far Cry 2’s map editor is flipping amazing - Xbox 360 Fanboy.

Once again, the boys over at X3F (Xbox360Fanboy.com) have released another great map variant. This time they used the Avalanche map. Interesting enough, it doesn’t take advantage of the whole map. Instead, only one half of the map is used. There is a large spaceship built in the forge that the opposing team needs to infiltrate to capture the flag. According to the video it took 10 hours to complete the map.

November can’t come soon enough. By the looks of the video, Epic has done a great job at keeping with the original franchise look and feel, but taking it up a notch with slightly better graphics, the new unreal engine, and more gameplay maneuvers. I’m bummed that the video didn’t show off more of the new engine being used like the . X3F has picked apart the video for your reading pleasure. Also, a GameVideos.com video review after the break.

Freestyle

I assume this would be an offshoot crossbreed of EA BIG and your run of the mill X-Treme game (Tony Hawk, SSX Tricky, etc…) I for one am looking forward to see what comes of it. My main pain of sports games (baseball, football, hockey, soccer) is the loose connection you have to a character. Instead you are required to sift through characters during gameplay quickly.

Looks promising, and it seems they already have their first title targeted: Facebreaker
