just save the fla in cs4 as a cs3-file and open it in again. that should resolve your problems.
cheers, björn

Thank GOD for your page I thought I was loosing my mine. 6 weeks two hard drives 2 extra megs of ram and I just actually went out and bought a MAC Pro. Flash CS4 does nothing but crash on me. I can't work on new files because it tells me I have low virtual memory. It corrupted CS3 files even backups I had saved as different names. I did the whole font clean up thing it didn't work. I can't install CS3 anymore because I just told them to cancal my windows version of the software so they could send me MAC disks they are in the mail and can't be downloaded. And have you called for support? Talk about frustrating they pass you on to a Flash specialist... all she does is make you wait 20 minutes while she looks up your issue on the web I could do that!!!! Macromedia never should have sold that product. On a brighter note I have just spent the day testing their new Web InContext editing feature in Dreamweaver really great!

Yes, crashes all the time when creating motion tweens, especially when adding filters, or 3d.

Seems to work fine when I open an actionscript 2.0 file ... hahaha !!

Is it time to fill out a Letter of Software Destruction?

Flash CS4 is constantly crashing when i try to do any timeline classic tween. This
is beta (if not alpha) crap. Adobe is selling this junk for twice as much money here in europe.
Thanks Adobe.

My understanding is the Adobe team knows about it, however my guess is they will focus more on 64 bit Vista systems rather than XP. With the release of their Linux 64bit player I would hope Adobe is working on other 64bit solutions.

Hi, I am experiencing regular crashes with flash CS4 too, mine doesn't follow a pattern though, it happened few times while browsing through the library items or preview the motion preset tool or during publish preview. It is so annoying. I even re installed vista 32 bit, turning the kaspersky antivirus didnt help either.

dpcdpc11, you have the same graphics card as me could it be the drivers I wonder? Andrew what is your graphics card?

I hope someone has a solution soon..

I fixed it by not using it and going back to CS3! I normally don't use timeline tweens anyways, so this isn't a deal buster for me. However if I need to do some banners or anything simple like that, I'm having to use CS3 for now.

Waiting on an update, Adobe!
